Hi All
Kindly advise if it is a DCE Setting (How to set it up) or DCE feature (From which DCE version) whereby when you open the Surveillance Tab, a Camera Thumbnail is Highlighted in Orange when Motion is Detected.
Thanky you.

Hello Mr_T
There are others in this community who can share a lot of detail regarding the feature, but your question is more high level so I feel comfortable starting you with this information.
The helpcenter has some articles which will likely help you with your question.
General overview of what the surveillance feature is:

Hello @gsterling
Thank you so much for your response. I have DCE v7.2 and DCE v7.6 and on v7.2, the Camera Thumbnail does not Highlight when motion is Detected whereas on v7.6 the Camera Thumbnail Highlights when motion is Detected therefore I was trying to find out if this comes with a particular DCE Version or its just a setting?
Looking forward to your response.

Hi @Tafadzwa
The background of the image in surveillance in 7.8.1 does still change color. I checked on a 7.8.1 system in my lab moments ago. There is no specific setting for this but I believe the only time this color change will take effect is when the camera is alerting. There can be motion and no alert but that will not cause the color change. The only option that I had set was to "Sort By" motion and the licensed camera was set to send on motion detect. The NetBotz was also set to alarm based on motion.
Thanks,
Steve

Hi @APC_Steve
Thank you for your response. On v7.6.0 the background color is changing however its not changing on v7.2.1 so I was wondering if this is because of the DCE Version or not and if so at which Version does this feature come?

Hi @Tafadzwa ,
Sorry but I don't have info on when that feature may have been added. I thought 7.2 had that functionality but that is a very old version (by software standards) and is no longer supported. I'd simply suggest upgrading to a supported version where you know it works. That's part of the reason I tested 7.8.1 as well, to be sure it was still there. I do know that in some of the older versions, there were issues with thumbnails not updating but if you're seeing images update and it updates if you set it to move to the top on alert, that's all you can do with what you have.
