I have Raritan IPDUs registered in DCE via SNMP v1.
I wish to upgrade them to SNMP v3, and re-register them via SNMP v3 into DCE.
Based on testing, the only way is to remove the device, then re discover them via SNMP v3.
But this causes me to lose all historical data as well virtual sensors.
Is there any way to change from SNMP v1 to v3 for Raritan devices without losing history?

Hi @Nirmolak,
Currently there is no way to switch 3rd party devices from SNMPv1 to SNMPv3 without deleting and rediscovering the device.
Our engineering team is currently working on an easy way to switch devices between SNMPv1 and SNMPv3 and it is currently expected to launch in the next version of Data Center Expert. To stay up to date on release notifications you can log into the EcoStruxure IT Entitlements site and follow the directions here: https://ecostruxure-it-entitlements.se.com/csm?id=kb_article_view_cs&sysparm_article=KB0018943

Hello,
from what I know you cannot switch to snmp v3 without removing and rediscover....since every device receive an id number(in DCE database and config) even if you remove and rediscover any device without any config change(ip,hostname, snmp), the new discovered device receive a new id without any pointers to the old id
