I am currently on DCE 7.8.0, and waiting to upgrade to the next rev until SMBV2 support is available. What is the current forecast for this support. Thanks, Ned

hi @NedFields ,
There is no exact ETA at this time. DCE 7.9 will likely be the release version number and it is currently due out later this year.
The base operating system needs to be updated to add support for SMB 2 or 3. I can only say that engineering is currently working in this update and again, it is slated for later this year.
thanks
Steve.

Hi @NedFields,
Last time I told someone what date I expected the release, I was wrong by 6 months. Lesson learnt. Just to be clear, we're not keeping secrets for secrets sake, just that experience tells us that telling you the wrong date is worse.
That said, the last I've heard is that we're in the testing part of the release cycle, and the latest news I've heard still supports Steve's "later this year". I can't promise that's final, it depends on the results of the testing, but I'm optimistic.
I hope you can appreciate we'd rather be vague than wrong.
