Hello all,
I am trying to update all of our SMX1500s to 6.9.2 via DCE because of the ripple 20 vulnerability. I was able to update a couple of them to 6.8 with no issues, but when I try to push 6.9.2 to the devices, it says "Verifying AOS 6.9.2" and then it fails and says it is unable to connect. I am able to connect to the devices via launch to device from DCE, but once I push the firmware to the APC and it fails it locks me out of the web interface and the only way to access the device is the CLI. Has anyone seen anything like this before?

So a little background the APC firmware is divided into three parts and boot loader, AOS and an application, if I was to guess something happened to your device during the upgrade, it could be a timeout or a drop in connection or something similar, since you only have the command line I'd say it happened after the boot loader.
First you need to log into the device via SSH or Serial and enable FTP using this command:
ftp -S enable
Next you need to download the following files:

Connect to the NMC using FTP, I recommend the WinSCP client,
Upload "apc_hw05_bootmon_109.bin" to the root,
The NMC will reboot,
Reconnect via FTP,
Upload "apc_hw05_aos_682.bin" to the root,
The NMC will reboot,
Reconnect via FTP,
Upload "apc_hw05_sumx_680.bin" to the root,
The NMC will reboot for the final time
You'll now be good to go.

Hi @Anonymous user, thanks for posting and sorry for the delay in reply. I'll see if I can get some eyes on this.
Thanks,

Hi Willy,
You may have noticed that 6.9.2 has been pulled for the moment, slight issue nothing too major. Have you managed to get your device back online? If not I can help, I'll just need to know what device your having issues with, i.e. Smart-UPS, RPDU, Symmetra

Smart UPS with nmc/nmc2 . The firmware has locked me out of everything except for the CLI.
