I'm running EcoStruxure Data Center Expert 8.3.0 as VM in VMware for a lab. I'm trying to change the Domain Name in System>Server Admin Setting>Network Settings to dce.local. The change appears to save but does not persist after reboot and reverts and no changes happen.
Thanks in advance - please advise the supported procedure or any known fixes for 8.3.0.
Jenn

Hi @Jennifer ,
I thought I had seen something similar some time ago but thought it had been addressed. I will look into that in a little more detail but in the meantime, I would suggest changing the hostname using the console and the apcsetup user.
Thanks,
Steve

in general, .local shouldn't be used since it's used by mDNS https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc6762 and if you check your DCE nbc.xml log, you'll see an error regarding it

setting the DCE domain to .local and .localdomain via the desktop client will be fixed in the next DCE release, 9.1
