Cause
The Heat Meter now has a barcode where the customer number previously had been printed. From the customer number the modbus slave ID could be determined.
Resolution
The customer number is a replica of the serial number. The last 3 digits are the modbus slave ID, except when the last 3 digits are 248 or higher, then the slave ID is the last 2 digits.
In this case, the slave ID is 210.
