We need to log data from M580 standalone PLC every 50ms/100ms
We need to log data from M580 standalone PLC every 50ms/100ms . We deisgned a VB.NET based solution to read data from PLC over MODBUS TCPIP and insert in SQL database. The solution works fine, but around 20 SQL records every 1000 records are missing .Is there any software available for this requirement.

These could be two possible ways to log data, one is by using scada (VJC) where you would be able to get the data logged on a regular time base eg.50 or 100ms, however the accuracy can not be 100% likewise in your case 20/1000 samples goes missing, I believe would more or less same while you use SCADA engine as well. Second option is log get timestamped data using BMECRAxx module and log the event in SCADA could be another possible solution. Having said above options i do not see any other tool within SE, using Historian could be the ideal solution for these!
