Troubles in accesing vijeo historian 2016 tag values in excel..

Hello All,

We have vijeo Historian 2016 commissioned. These Historian tags we are are reading in excel based tools.

Values are updating ok whenevar we run excel Macro.

Now we added some tags and try to read values using same excel tools however the values takes a much time to update in sheet.

We run SQL maintanance schedule for historian database but still perfomance not improved.

Is there procedure we are missing in Historian configuration we have to follow after addition or deletion of tags?

Hi @hemant2309,

I believe there is a validate action within the Historian to clear up any deleted tags or renamed tags and resolve the conflict. It is best to consult the help for how to do this.

It might also be worth checking for any errors (in Windows Event viewer) or the Historian Data Service logs.

I assume you can also read data back within the Historian DB (using inbuilt tools), not via the Excel plugin Enquire, like the Web Client? 

If still having troubles, I'd recommend reaching out to Support to troubleshoot this further.
