I am currently working with Citect SCADA 2018 and have also tested the configuration in AVEVA Plant SCADA 2023 R2. I have successfully configured alarms in the editor and can view them on the SCADA runtime screen.
Now, I would like to store the alarm data in a Microsoft SQL Server database, including the following details:
Alarm message
Normal time
Acknowledge time
Reset time
Logged-in user name
Could you please guide me on how to configure or implement this functionality? Any example, documentation, or best-practice recommendation would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @sunilclakum
It is best to consult the online documentation for more details, but here is a high level guide on how to achieve this:
Kind regards
Olivier

Thank you for your detailed guidance.
I have already completed the steps you mentioned — the SQL database and tables are created, the SQL device is configured, and logging is enabled under the alarm categories. The alarms are visible in the runtime window, but they still aren’t being logged into the SQL Server table. Please find the below attached screenshot for more details.
Could you please advise if there are any additional settings or troubleshooting steps I should check?
Kind regards,
Sunil Lakum
