What is the difference between EcoStruxure Machine SCADA Expert & EcoStruxure Geo SCADA Expert?

Hi FENFEO,

I cannot speak directly for the features of EcoStruxure Machine SCADA as I lack knowledge of this offer, but I do know about EcoStruxure Geo SCADA Expert (ClearSCADA) and I think I can decipher some of the differences. The first part is that Geo SCADA is designed for wide area infrastructure such as water & wastewater distribution and networks along with upstream and mid stream oil and gas and electrical utility infrastructure where remote asset management, monitoring and control is required typically from a central control room. Geo SCADA supports protocols designed to communicate over long distances (wide area) which typically can be 10s to 100s of kms. EcoSruxure Machine would be suited for local area infrastructure or LAN - local area networks which is within the parameters of a plant where the lcoal SCADA is 10s to 100s of metres max from the SCADA. In summary: Globally EcoStruxure Geo SCADA is used in WWW, O&G and Electrical Utilities, is designed for WAN and supports protocols such as DNP3, IEC61850, IEC60870 which are exeception based protocols. EcoStruxure Machine would be designed for LAN and is suitable for OEMs / Machine builders with protocols such as Modbus. EcoStruxure Machine SCADA Expert (formerly known as Vijeo XL), is a lite SCADA SW dedicated to machine line management and lite supervision, mainly commenrcialized in bundle with our Magelis iPCs and HMIGTU Open boxes.
