Is there anyway to debug the message 'Citect variable already deleted' entering the Diagnostic Window?
Customer is using OFS 3.63 spk 3

Hi Bas,
Long time no speak! I hope you are well.
Are you using the OFSOPC driver or is it a 3rd party OPC Client and you are interested in just the OFS side?
From a previous support case, with this error, the following response was given:
"This message is displayed at the reception of a read answer associated to an item that does not exist anymore.
It can happen when the item has just been removed before the read answer reception.
Note : We don’t see this kind of warning message when using Vijeo Citect because Vijeo Citect doesn’t remove the item, it deactivates it instead of.
It is more an informational message than a real warning. It indicates that the read answer will be ignored."
I'd recommend enabling driver logging (if OFSOPC is used on Plant SCADA side) to better understand what is happening.
Enable the following citect.ini settings:
[OFSOPC]
DebugLevel=ERROR | WARN
DebugCategory=ALL
It would be good to also cross reference the data dictionary (or variable data base) that OFS is using and if it matches the PLC program.
Kind regards
Olivier

Olivier, Thanks for your response. This is the OFSOPC-protocol with OFS 3.63 spk 3. I will ask the customer to add this parameters and will open a support ticket if it captures something we can't explain.

Hi @BasVanDiepen,
Would be good to know what settings the customer is using in OFS, if they have enabled Data Dictionary or if they manually save/export the tag database from the PLC.
Good luck with it, hope it can be resolved.
Kind regards
Olivier
