configure UPS to shutdown server

Hi,

We have currently a 3PH UPS. I connected to UPS via ethernet and i configured the ip address.

Now my issue is that i dont know how to do the following:

1. What software i need to install on the servers that will be shut down from the UPS.

2. How to configure the shutdown.

I read in another case the following:

<<by default, when you install the software and provide the IP of the NMC in the UPS, then they communicate over the network for status updates (on battery, low battery, etc) and then the UPS will signal the client to shutdown when the UPS has a low battery, which by default is when 2 minutes of runtime remain. if this won't work for you, you can raise the low battery setting in the network management card and/or change shutdown settings or shutdown trigger events in the powerchute network shutdown interface on your individual clients.>>

But is not very clear what i should do.

The introduction explains the application and the remained explains how to user it.

@BillP thanks. Can i use this software also on Windows on physical servers (not VMWare)?

Also i cant find the correct site to download it.

I get "Schneider Electric Error 404" when i try to download it from the following site.

I found to download the version 5.0 but i get on PowerChute Setup: Network Management Card Registration that cannot connect to https://UPS_IP:443

I read the following:

 Confirm the type of Network Management Card being used along with the firmware on the card. The Network Management Cards that are designed to work with PCNS are part numbers AP9617, AP9618, AP9619, AP9630, AP9631, AP9635, AP9640, AP9641. The AP9640, and AP9641 are only compatible with PCNS 4.3 and above. The AP9606 is not compatible with PCNS 3.0 and above. It is compatible with PCNS 2.2.X and below. The AP9605 and the AP9603 are older cards and will not work with PCNS.

In the UPS info i see 

Harware version HDA807

Firmware version: 3.7.DA807.APC.15

Is it compatible with Powerchute? I cant find how to relate it with the numbers mentioned above.

Yes. PowerChute Network Shutdown will run on a Standalone Windows server.

Based on the firmware version 3.7.DA807.APC.15 your card is not compatible with PowerChute. Below is a link to the card I think you have.

Can you please help me to find how i could configure the servers to be shut down via snmp?

I have downloaded the 3PH UPS SNMP Manager 5.1.11 and i have configured the network card with the right ip address.

But now i am stuck on how to continue.
