What is the correct setting for Battery Bank Capacity on the Conext SW 4048 with Two 4 battery banks of 250AH batteries
I am receiving conflicting information on what I should set the Batt Capacity (Under charger Settings) on the Conext SW4048. I have a total of 8, 250ah batteries (two banks of 4).
One argument is: It should be 500ah given that there are two banks of 250ah
Another argument is: It should be 250ah given that is what each battery is
Still another argument is: It should be less than 250ah; because, I have a Midnite charge controller and that it does not play well with the Conext.
I appreciate your input on what I thought was a very basic question

hi, short answer is 500ah because they're 2 strings each of 48V, 250Ah.
long answer, from the basis of series and parallel connections, you're connecting 2 parallel strings of 250Ah, so in total it would be 500Ah and 48V would be maintained across the strings.
concerning the Midnite charge controller, I haven't worked with this before but I'll take it as any regular charge controller and you can still configure the system with the same amount of Ah. Just put the settings correctly on both of them (like your charging rate and voltages)
