Hi to all,
First an shot description
I have 25 cooling units, installed in two separate groups. For producing chilled water I use 2 chillers of 425 KW cooling capacity each, one active , one in standby, which are managed by an automatic system (microprocessor based ) which commute their functioning. I use motorized butterfly valves with an opening time of 120 seconds.
I have the following problem.
After an programed commutation, or in case of failure, all the ACRC's units, generate : fluid flow meter critical alarm, but 4 units enter in an inactivity mode like they are put in stand by. The rest of units increase the air speed and opening the 3 way valve at 100 %. In the case of the problematic units I must to perform an hardware reset 4-5 times to put them on the normal functioning. (All the units have the last firmware version)
Please if somebody encounter the same problem and find an resolution please contact me.
Thank you

Additional information you may want to provide:
Are there differences between the firmware revisions on each unit? Firmware revisions can be viewed from the front display under "About Inrow RC" or from the web interface under Admin tab -> General tab -> About. The acrc APP version is what would pertain to the unit operation.
Also, are the units grouped together? If so, are the 4 units operating differently in a single group? Are these 4 units seeing any other alarm other than the flowmeter fault, or is there any other configuration difference between the units?

I would recommend calling in to our Air tech support team. They can be reached at 1-800-800-4272. They will be able to check your entitlements, do troubleshooting with you, and depending on any service contracts/entitlements you have, schedule a tech to go on site. This issue is one that could stem from either a unit problem, or outside config. issue. Normally when a chiller fails, that's when a fluid flow meter fault is seen, but again this is an issue that may take more in depth investigation and a call-in is recommended.
