We have a number of Easy Micro Data Centers that had to have the Easy-UPS (SRV240RLBP-9A) swapped out with a Smart-UPS (SRT6KRMXLI) primarily so that PowerChute software over the ethernet could be used for multiple devices within the MDC.
My issue is that since the swap out the MDC and it's front panel complain about loss of communication with the UPS. This is understandable given that the MDC "Monitor" connected to the Easy-UPS via RS232 (DB9) that the Smart-UPS physically does not have. The Smart-UPS does have a RJ45 port labelled as "Serial" on the rear but APC doesn't seem to sell an official RJ45 (Monitor connection) to RJ45 (UPS connection) cable.
Does anyone know of such a cable or some other solution?
Would daisy chaining a AP940-0625A cable to the one left behind from the Easy-UPS work or just cause more problems?

For clarity sake the cable provided by APC is a RJ50 -> Serial. It is (NOT) a standard internally wired RJ45 Ethernet jack.

I know what you're saying. It's very confusing however as a SRT6KRMXLI has NO documentation on the Serial port that's natively on the unit. It list NO cables as part numbers and the APC site shows nothing that's not RJ-45

Are these serial ports and cables gated to Schneider techs?

Seems this might just be a marketing thing? The link I gave above clearly shows the cables as RJ-45. But this other forum thread seems to suggest that this is for marketing and the actual cable is in fact RJ-50.
Even the APC Smart-UPS Communications Application Note #181 clearly states that the SRT6KRMXLI is a RJ-45.

We're going to source one of these AP940-0625A cables and I'll see if the Easy MDC will "support" the Smart-UPS and let people know here.

You may use the Serial cable you referenced up above to communicate with the new system.
Having said this I’m not clear as to what you want to do so any clarification would be great.
Finally, just to add some more clarity the system will only allow one serial connection at any one time.
Meaning you can not have both serial ports connected and operating in parallel without seeing negative results.

Just to be clear the NMC (Network Management Card) uses a standard RJ45 Ethernet port.
The Serial Port uses a RJ50 data port. There is another RJ45 port reserved for the universal I/O such as temperature, Temperature / Humidity, Dry Contacts etc.
Lastly, there is a Micro USB / USB-C for console access. The Remaining USB Ports are for Data and USB Flash Drive for firmware updates.
