Occassionally we'll receive email alerts indicating that the "Agent Lost Communication with the device" on our Metered PDU's at remote locations. I'd like to try to figure out if there is some troubleshooting to be done on these units that help me better understand the conditions in which this occurs.

The conditions listed we don't show any real data indicating these are the deductive reasons. For those who get these messages largely ignore them? Perhaps the newer version of ISX (since mine is dated) would give more details/resolutions? Any of those who have worked with a newer ISX give any feedback regarding that?

This can happen if there is a network disruption between the ISX Manger and the PDU.
It's usually not a serious issue; someone moving patch cables, power interuption at a switch, network traffic peak.
If it loses communication and never comes back, then there is a problem that needs attention.
