I've got a couple of RCs that I've replaced the main boards, along with the XA and NMC. I'm working with a government owned laptop, with SecureCRT as my hyper terminal program. Unfortunately I can't use Windows Hyperterm, or PuTTY, as they're not approved on my network. SecureCRT works sweet for transferring FW, but I haven't been able to figure out the settings I need to get into the RC factory mode, via serial connection. I've got the info sheet, but I can't find the information on the actual ascaii, ansi settings that I need to make it work. SecureCRT is quite complex, and trying different setting isn't working. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Vincent,
The given that you can do significant damage to the unit in factory mode, the settings are not something that we would publish on our forums.
As stated earlier, please follow the link above to contact your local technical support, and they can walk you through the settings.
Thank you.

I seem to be getting lots of views, but no responses.... I've set up the hyperterm with the usual: Serial, 8,N,1. But beyond that, I need to find out the rest of the settings that will allow me to access the factory mode. Help?

Hello Vincent. Unfortunately we do not have any setting information for SecureCRT and getting into factory mode. This would be best if you can give your local tech support a call and they can work with you to get the settings that are needed to get into factory mode. I have included the link to the support page on our website below. This is the page for the USA. If you are in a different country, change the country at the top left of the webpage and it will give you the local support numbers.
Thank you

Sorry, I'm not explaining this correctly...I'm not looking for the SecureCRT settings, I'm looking for the specific settings that the RC needs to get into factory mode. I was told by the help desk at one point that the hyperterm needed to have specific settings to talk to the RC. Once I get the info on what the RC expects to see, then I'll have to figure out how those setting convert into SecureCRT. That make more sense?
Thanks!

Guess since you don't seem to want to reply, I'll have to bother the help desk and get into level II support. Would have been nicer this way, but......
