IT Expert subscription management in mySchneider

EcoStruxure IT Expert subscription management moved to a new provisioning system on mySchneider on April 1, 2025.   Subscription licenses sold after April 1, 2025 will be managed on mySchneider. At the next renewal, existing subscription licenses will be managed on mySchneider. License keys created before April 1, 2025 can still be redeemed in IT Expert.       mySchneider Software Management is a credit-based licensing system enabled by a digital voucher you receive via email. You can purchase software licenses in mySchneider through a partner or purchase yourself.   Once your order is complete and you receive a voucher, you can redeem it for credits to:   Activate a new IT Expert subscription license Renew your IT Expert subscription license Amend an existing IT Expert subscription license   Activate a new IT Expert subscription license   There are three steps to activate a new license:   Redeem the digital voucher in your MySchneider account. Create the subscription license key. Activate the subscription in IT Expert.   1. Redeem the digital voucher   When you order, you enter an installer email address for subscription delivery.  A digital voucher will be delivered to that email address.    Click Redeem Digital Voucher to go to mySchneider Software Management.     Log in to mySchneider with an existing account, or register to create a new account.   Go to My Business > Software Management.    On the Software > Digital Locker page, click Redeem Voucher.   Enter the voucher code from the email you received. Click Redeem to add the voucher credits to your account.       2. Create the subscription license key   Go to the Digital Voucher tab to see the credits in your account. Create an IT Expert subscription license key using the available credits.   Click Subscribe with Credits.     Choose a subscription (1 year, 3 year, or 5 year) and specify the quantity of credits you want to use. The quantity of credits is the number of assets you want to monitor using IT Expert.    Click Continue.        Specify the email address where the license key will be delivered (Installer email) and the date you want the subscription to start.    IMPORTANT:  The Subscription Start Date chosen on this page defines when the subscription starts regardless of when it is claimed in IT Expert. The date cannot be changed.   Click Confirm.       3. Activate the subscription   The email sent from mySchneider includes the IT Expert subscription license key.     Log in to IT Expert. Go to Administration > Subscriptions.   Enter the license key and click Redeem.   Click Validate to activate the subscription.          Renew an IT Expert subscription license   You can use credits available in mySchneider Software Management to renew an existing subscription. To obtain more credits, you must complete an order and claim a digital voucher.     Log in to mySchneider.  Go to My Business > Software Management.    On the Software > Subscriptions page, choose the active subscription, and click Renew.     Choose the quantity of credits you want to redeem, and click Confirm & Renew to send updated subscription information to IT Expert.   The new subscription will start immediately after the current one ends.             Amend an existing IT Expert subscription license    If you want to monitor more assets in IT Expert than your current subscription allows, you can add credits to your subscription license.     Log in to mySchneider.  Go to My Business > Software Management.    On the Software > Subscriptions page, find the subscription to amend.   Click the three dots in the Action column.    Click Change Subscription.         Specify the quantity of additional credits needed.  The quantity of credits is the number of additional assets you want to monitor using IT Expert.       The quantity of additional credits consumed for your subscription is calculated on the Review page. For example, if you add 4 nodes to an existing 1 year subscription that has been active for 6 months, only 2 credits will be consumed since it is only half the term.    Click Continue.   Review the summary and click Confirm to add more nodes in IT Expert.

2021 IT Expert release notes

Permissions November 2021 Administrator users can now configure user roles and access permissions in IT Expert based on locations and group membership on the new Administration > Groups tab. User roles are Administrator, Editor, and Viewer.  See IT Expert permissions ITE_groups_tab_4405702854685.png Permissions known issues Viewer access to the Alarms and Active Lifespan Alarms assessments is available only when the Viewer user has permissions for all locations.  Editors and Viewers can export assessments to CSV only when the user has permissions for all locations.  Alarms can be assigned to anyone in the organization including assignees who may not have permission to view them. When All locations is selected, the contact list for the entire organization is displayed even though the user may not have access to the entire organization. Asset Advisor customers get a daily push notification to the EcoStruxure IT app with information about new tickets and the number of alarms in the entire organization regardless of user role and permissions. SSO users configured manually before the ITE SSO feature was introduced must now send information for group(s) including Users (non-admins). Add sensor plots to dashboards October 2021 You can now add a sensor plot directly to a dashboard from the sensor plotting page. Add the sensor plot to an existing dashboard (based on your current location and permissions) or create a new dashboard and add the sensor plot to it.  See how Filter by phrase September 2021 You can now use quotes to search and filter the list of sensors or thresholds by exact phrase. Using quotes significantly narrows the returned results, making creating dashboards, creating thresholds, and running sensor graphs and reports much easier. Searching without quotes returns many results: ITE_filter_sensors_no_quotes_4405702854685.png Searching using quotes returns fewer results: ITE_acknowledge_alarm_4_4405702854685.png   Single Sign On (SSO) Known issue fixed Oct 2021 You can now log in to the EcoStruxure IT mobile app as expected after configuring SSO in ITE.   August 2021 Administrator users can now configure SAML 2.0 single sign on (SSO) in IT Expert. Any identity provider that supports the SAML protocol is supported.  Once you configure SSO, all users with an email address on one of the domains you specify must use your identity provider to log in to IT Expert. You can still use the IT Expert Administration > Users option to invite and manage users from email domains not using the domains you specify for SSO. See Configure SAML single sign on (SSO) in IT Expert Symmetra batteries included in the UPS Score assessment April 2021 Symmetra UPS battery wear data is now included in the UPS Score assessment. See Symmetra UPS battery wear information in UPS assessment Single device configuration April 2021 IT Expert Administrator users can change the device settings on a single APC SNMP device. These settings can be copied and used to configure multiple devices of the same type. Only the values exposed in the config.ini for the device can be configured. User management settings may not be available on some devices. Secure values, such as username, password, authentication and encryption phrases, and IP addresses are not available. See Single device configuration for details. Audit log April 2021 An audit log is now available on the IT Expert Administration tab. Administrator users can track changes done in IT Expert including user administration, configuration management, alarm acknowledgement, dashboard changes, and more. The audit log tracks changes done in both the web UI and the mobile app. Alarm acknowledgements made after April 2021 are included in the audit log. Changes made in the Gateway UI or directly on the device NMC UI are not included in the audit log.   Alarm acknowledgement January 2021 You can now acknowledge an alarm in either IT Expert or the EcoStruxure IT mobile app to assign yourself or a colleague responsibility for it. You can add notes on what is being done, and filter the alarm list to easily see who is responsible for certain alarms and alarms that are assigned to you.
