How can I accurately measure the level of my cereal tank?

Hi

I am a production sourcing manager.

One of our plants produces glucose syrup with cereals as key ingredients.

I need to monitor the level of the cereal silos accurately.

Can you recommend a proven solution that can connect to my MES system? And also, if it is possible to get the level directly on my mobile phone?

Re: How can I accurately measure the level of my cereal tank?

Hi,

Weighing technology is clearly the most accurate solution the measure the filling level of tanks or silos.

In the field of technology partership, SCAIME have developped integrated weighing solutions for EcoStruxure architecture allowing to improve the profitability of production by better inventory management.

This solution includes weighing load cells and PMESWT weighing module integrated into the M580 PLC.

You can find here the PMESWT solution on Exchange shop :PME SWT on Exchange Shop

Application Case:

This following application was developed  for BRALIMA brewery in Kinshasa, with Schneider Electric system integrator. This production unit is the leader of beer and soft drink in Congo.

The project was to modernize the manufacturing process:

  • Upgrade automated system with M580 PLC and  link to ERP system.
  • Install 4 PMESWT weighing systems for yeast and hop tank level monitoring.
