Hi,
We have a SP574 acting as a data concentrator to 3 SCADA Master stations, each on one of the three ethernet ports, all having separate IP subnets.
Two of the Master stations have the same DNP3 address (different customers being served the same data).
We seem to be observing that the third event buffer queue is never emptying. Can someone confirm if the event buffers are reserved, based on master DNP3 address and not on a "per ethernet port" basis?
If so, is this by design, or an oversight?
Thanks in advance,
vds

This is by design.
In a DNP network all stations should have unique DNP addresses.
Warm standby DNP masters are incredibly common. These will ‘share’ a DNP address, but will have unique IP addresses, and often even diverse radio/serial networks.
As such DNP event buffers are only per defined ‘master’ DNP address.
I’d say that it allowing you to have three event buffers with only two unique master DNP addresses is a ‘bug’.
it shouldn’t have created three event buffers.
