Untuk pertanyaan ini menurut saya kita perlu lihat case by case karena pertimbangannya akan berbeda.

sebagai contoh berikut:

1. Dalam satu plant ada banyak terinstall motor dengan VSD dengan power yang bervarisai (biasanya relatif kecil dibawah 90kw), Untuk mitigasi harmoniknya akan lebih simple  dengan menambah Active harmonic filter, karena pemasangan AHF bisa dilakukan secara Paralel di sistem, untuk pemasangan AHF ini perlu dilakukan studi beban terlebih dahulu agar kita bisa melakukan Sizing AHF dan level harmonik yang diinginkan dapat dicapai.

 

2. Dalam satu plant akan melakukan penambahan Motor dengan kapasitas 250kw yang akan di control dengan VSD, untuk kasus seperti ini akan lebih mudah jika kita langsung memasang Low harmonik Drive, agar sistem yang kita tambahkan tidak menambah atau memperburuk level THDI yang ada.

 

3. Ada satu solusi juga misalkan kita berada digabungan dua kasus diatas, kita akan menambah sistem baru tapi secara bersamaan kita juga ingin memperbaiki level harmonik yang ada, maka kita bisa lakukan kombinasi dari solusi di atas.

 

Semoga membantu. Sebetul beberapa waktu lalu Schneider mengadakan webinar (diskusi) mengenai hal ini. mungkin ada yang bisa bantu share
