EcoStruxure power design - Ecodial 4.9.8 & Ecostruxure power design E1.94
Hi,
I've noticed that current carrying capacities or Iz are not aligned with table B.52.10 in my calculations. My case is with installation method 31 / E or multicore cables on horizontal perforated tray for PVC type cables made of copper. Temperature for ambiental air is set to 30°, and I'm looking at one cable per tray. Ecodial gives me for 10 mm2=54.5A, for 16 mm2=72,7A, for 25 mm2=91,8A, and so on. From IEC 60364-5-52 table B.52.10 currents should be 60, 80 and 101 amps for those mentioned cables. Is there some factor that I'm missing?
In the other software Ecostruxure power design, I'm getting capacities according to mentioned table.
Thank you.
Best regards
Kruno

Hello
Thanks for the given project file.
At the given example, the circuit protection is considered as “FUSE.”
In this case, there is an additional coefficient is considered based on the type of protective device.
Coefficient with respect to protection device
As compared to my example; here the value (60 Amps) is multiplied by 1.10 and resuled to 54.5 =~ 55
We confirm; that the application is working as expected.

Hello
Thanks for your interest in Ecodial.
In the following image: we can see the results from the Ecodial for the ‘load of 50 Amps’ with inputs defined by the user.
Installation method 31 / E
Multicore cables
On horizontal perforated tray f
Insulation: PVC type cables
Material: copper.
Air ambient temperature: 30°
Arrangement: one cable per tray.
In our analysis; the results are coming as expected.
If you need further analysis, then kindly please share with us the project file.
