Hi team,
I am trying to model Inrows with hot aisle containment in ITA 9.3.0. I have chosen different genomes for inrow units, and it seems that when I place them in the row they work as Cracs not like inrows. When I simulate CFD it says that there are no tiles, and in the floor presure and floor plenum tabs if I place a tile I can see the velocity arrows under the floor.
I have modeled previously in-rows with other versions of ITA without any problem. Could it be an issue of this version?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Javier,
Generic InRow (Large or Small) cooling units, they are also currently being considered as downflow CRACs, which I have already captured in our backlogs.
You might want to try other cooling units such as 'InRow RC 300mm Standard Temp ACRC301S', 'InRow RC, 600mm, Chilled Water 380-415V 50/60 Hz, w/ humidifier (ACRC602P)', etc.
Kind regards,
Jef

Hello Javier
I'm able to model a simpler version of the room hot aisle containment system you're showing ( I pasted a picture below ).
Can you share a room view image of this configuration in planning mode so we can see how the racks, and containment system are arranged? I'm noticing as well when I look at your screenshot, I can see the front edges of your racks and devices throught the front door and top of the containment system which makes me wonder if there are some alignment problems.
Regards
Greg Sterling

Hi Javier,
I can reproduce it - issue basically seems to be with the Genome Library item (ACRD601P) itself. It is mistakenly being considered as a downflow cooling unit.
I have captured this in our backlogs so it can be investigated and corrected in near future release.
For the time being, as a work around, you might want to either add at least one perforated tile or use different cooling unit.
Kind regards,
Jef

Hi
I have tried with others genomes, with "generic inrow large" and "generic inrow small" and I have the same problem. I have noticed that when I leave alone the Inrow in the middle of the room when I check in the 3D view I can see the cooling unit with the circles simulating the fans. But when I move the inrow close to a rack the 3D draw changes and now there are not "fans" in the inrow. It seems that the inrow has converted to a crac unit.

Hi Jef,
with those genomes it works properly. There are many problems with the others "inrow genomes"...
