Frequent user logon-logoff in GEO SCADA

hello all,

Our client has a web based app that reads data remotely from GEO CSDA using ODBC and refresh it in 30s intervals.

They noticed in the event journals, the user logged on and off  frequently and at the same moment similar to the figure below

logoff.png

Does that have any connotation to a problem? And does it affect the performance of the system?

appreciate any hint

All Respect

Re: Frequent user logon-logoff in GEO SCADA

It does have a performance impact, since the client and the server are both spending time re-establishing the connection (and session) for each connection.

There is also the performance impact of the GeoSCADA server having to stream this logging information to the disk (as well as just creating it).

Best approach would be for the service to retain the connection (either by not disposing of it as frequently, or by pooling the connection if it's used for multiple microservices).

It appears to be hitting the server far more frequently than once every 30 seconds also.
