We often use embedded trends to display time series data to users, since having a full window trend often results in obstruction of other information.
However, it seems that when embedding trends, they lose lots of the capabilities that the trend windows themselves have.
The trend window feels quite natural to pan / zoom around, the embedded trend feels very rigid and fixed. And to change the ranges it seems to always require several clicks to display a context menu and then select an option (like Next Interval / Previous Interval, Zoom In, Zoom Out, Scaling...)
It would be nice if there was a tick box or similar which could allow an embedded trend to behave more like a normal trend window, with scroll wheel / click & drag etc.
