Ability to embed geospatial map into mimic

We often don't want the geospatial map to be the only view.

It would be good if it was possible to embed such a map within an existing mimic.

Further to this, without this option of associating the map with a mimic, there is no way of having the map view defined as the default home page for a user, so you have to have a mimic for them to start with, and then ask them to select the map view. Most don't bother.

The maps are very well received by most of our customers, but they all want more functionality, and it seems like the map was developed and then abandoned. Other comments talk about wanting to customise the icons to more then a square, diamond or triangle. On the main overview mimic we display a layered site status indicator to show at a glance various pieces of important information. Our customers that want to use the map all ask for this same information.

We suggest that the map really needs to be enhanced and have more functionality, otherwise the effort that went into developing it is somewhat wasted.
