smart ups battery issues

Hello, I have a Smart-UPS X 3000  that is reporting errors, and I am looking for some help before I replace the whole unit.

The UPS has a network management card in it, and about a week ago it started reporting "Battery High Voltage Violation" after what the logs show as  "Compensating for a high input voltage" event.

The battery tray was swapped out with a new APC tray, and UPS was also restarted, since then the logs are reporting the following every 30 seconds.

UPS: A battery charger fault exists.
UPS: A battery charger fault no longer exists.

The measurements status page looks find, but the batteries are never charging:

The about page shows the following:

Is there a reset that will fix this? or am I looking at replacing the UPS?

Thanks,

I had this. It turns out the UPS was reading the battery about 6 volts higher than it was. I replaced it.

The UPS may have suffered a failure, but there is a reset procedure you can try. This will require powering down the attached load.

Safely power down the attached load. Turn off the UPS and disconnect it from AC power. Disconnect all internal batteries and any external battery packs if you have them. Depress the power button on the UPS for a few seconds. You may see the LEDs and display flash, hear some beeping and a few clicks. Leave it alone for a minute or two afterwards.

Reconnect all the batteries and connect the unit back to AC line power. I'd test it and see if it seems to be working properly before reattaching your load.

This unit would appear to be a newer MicroLink model, and as such, it should have upgradeable firmware. You might want to check and be sure that the unit is running the latest firmware available. (This should not be confused with firmware for the network management card.)
