Hello,
We recently purchased the SUA3000RM2U unit but the plug is NEMA L5-30P.
We only have the regular 110V power outlets so we can't plug it into our power outlet.
Is it possible to buy a NEMA 5-15P to L5-30 Plug Adapter like the one below and plug it into our standard wall outlet safely?

Please check the knowledge base article below. Changing the UPS plug will affect the amount of power the UPS can provide to its loads. Even though you have a 3000VA UPS, you will be limited as if you had a 1500VA UPS. As long as the adapter you purchase meets all electrical standards and you don't overload the 15a circuit, you should be fine. If you need more than 15a, it would be best to purchase a second 15a UPS or have a 30amp circuit installed.

I have a su3000net with the same plug and you can convert it but if anything happens to your house like fire your because of the ups your insurenc wont cover it do to the fact that it is agenst the National Electric Code (NEC) If you want to hook it up you will have to install a 30amp breaker and use 10 guage wire for the outlet wich is NEMA 5-30R

The only thing it would do is pop the 15A fuse, if you would try to draw too much juice.
