Do I need to place a SRT3000RMXL into bypass when replacing a battery?

I am trying to determine if I need to place a SRT3000RMXL into bypass mode before replacing the internal batter on the primary UPS unit (not the expansion enclosure).  My understanding is it is hot swap but I am uncertain if the UPS needs to be in bypass mode or if the battery can be replaced without that step.  Thanks in advance for any advice / assistance.

No need for bypass or turning it off or anything. When you pull the battery it will throw an alert and a red light will appear on the UPS. Other than that you will be fine to swap the batteries at any time.

FYI you can do the same to the expansion pack. Also two good rules of thumb is if you are swapping batteries swap them all including the expansion pack. The reason is if other batteries are old and going bad they will drag the new ones down and shorten the life of the battery. Also after you swap all the batteries do a self test. Then wait 24 hours and then do a calibration test to get proper runtime reporting
