Hi,
I have APC Smart UPS SUA1500i model line interactive UPS (1500 VA). My doubt is whether I can
cannect my HP SCANJET 2400 Flatbed scanner directly to the UPS using the power cord supplied by HP,
in addition to my DESKTOP and LCD Monitor. Also since there are additional power slots in the UPS can I
connect a Printer (Except Laser Printer) directly to the UPS. Please help. Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Jayan.

You can connect as many devices to the UPS as you can as long as you do not overload the UPS. Laser printers, as you've noted, uses quite a bit of power when the fuser is in operation and this is why connecting a laser printer to a UPS is keeping with good practices.
The HP Scanjet 2400 is acceptable load and will do fine on your Smart UPS.

Hi Joe,
Thank you. For the explanation. Actually my doubt is regarding the power cord supplied by HP along with the
SCANJET. Also there are power cables coming with printers. Can I plug in those cables to the rear slots in the APC
UPS ? There are 4 or 6 sockets at the back of the APC UPS. Like plugging in to the main utility, can I plug into the
UPS directly? Please reply.
Thanks & Regards,
Jayan.
