Using an APC Smart UPS 2200 I've installed PowerChute Business Edition 9.1.0-614 to RedHat vMA 5.1.0.1. Agent is running, am connected using serial 940-0625A cable with configuration set to Serial / Port /dev/ttyS0. Web page says UPS Communications Lost. I know the connection works as I've got it working using a Windows VM and PowerChute Console, but I want to use RedHat. Is my configuration supported? Can you help me troubleshoot...I've looked at all the posts I can find.

PowerChute Business Edition is support on vMA 5.0, 5.0 update 1 and 5.1 It has not been tested and approved on vMA 5.1.0.1.
I do however think it should work. To troubleshoot you should check to be sure that the vMA serial port is configured properly and that it is the only VM that is configured for that port. Make sure that the serial port of the vMA shows as connected and connects at power on.
These are the setting that should be available in PowerChute
uart0 and uart1 are the possible selections in the vMA. uart0 is what my system uses as shown above. You should install PCBE using uart0 and select ttyS0. If that does not work then uninstall PCBE and reinstall using ttyS1 and uart0. If that still does not work then uninstall PCBE reinstall using uart1 and ttyS0 and if it still fails then uninstall and reinstall using ttyS1 and uart1.
