AP9225 Firmware Update

So I have three APC Power Managment devices in a rack, two of them are AP9211s and one is an AP9225.

I recently endevored to upgrade these to the latest firmware in order to solve an issue with Web interface across different subnets, as well as to add e-mail notification functioanlity.

The upgrades aos309a.bin and ms225a.bin worked perfectly for the AP9211s and I no longer have any issues with them.

However, the 9225 seems to be lagging behind somewhere, the APC FTP site shows the latest firmware to be aos254.bin and msp200.bin, however I found aos258b.bin and msp205a.bin from another site which seem to be more recent than the files available on the APC site, but they're still not up to the same feature list as the AP9211 firmware.

Could someone please direct me to a place where I can download the real latest firmware for the AP9225, I would really like the features available to be on par with the 2 9211 units that I have.

Thank you.

Hello,

Try this link to obtain the AOS and application layer.

ftp://ftp.apc.com/apc/public/hardware/webcard/firmware/security/v258b/

So it's confirmed that those are the latest ones and there aren't any that match the feature-set of the 9211 firmware?

Since I cannot confirm the validity of the other files that you found, I would recommend that you use the files in the link that I provided. The firmware provided is essentially the last available firmware for the MS+

If it wasn't clear, I had already installed those files and they work fine.

But they don't fix my Subnet issue (Can't connect from x.x.2.x to x.x.6.x where the APC is located) nor do they provide the e-mail functionality that is contained in 306b for the 9211

The AP9225's with AP9606's didn't support email, only the AP9225 with AP9617 cards. The only notification that you could use is SNMP traps.

As for the subnet issue, I just connected to an AP9225 on a different subnet, without trouble. What trouble are you seeing exactly?
