The health crisis has affected the retail industry even giants such as Macy's and Nordstrom in the United States. With the crisis evolving Macy's closed all of their stores which costed them a $4 billion operating loss for the first quarter. Retail stores in malls are facing financial crisis as well leading them to take on new debt to boost their liquidity. In order to ensure business continuity, companies will have to leverage their digital operations and practices.
