Iam Trying to install SQL 2014 to windows 11 to install the smart connector afterward.
nut it always pop up this message even after downloading and installing powershell v7

@Mario.M.Gayed I'm no expert on this but from what I know SQL Server 2014 is not officially supported on Windows 11. While it might work in some cases, compatibility issues might arise. In this instance I see the following:
- SQL Server 2014 hard-requires PowerShell 2.0, which is not available on Windows 11 by default.
- Installing PowerShell v7 does not satisfy this requirement because SQL Server checks specifically for the legacy Windows PowerShell 2.0 feature.
How to fix this

Enable PowerShell 2.0 feature:
- Open Control Panel → Programs → Turn Windows features on or off.
- Look for Windows PowerShell 2.0 and enable it.
- If it’s missing, you may need to install the RSAT or legacy components via DISM:
DISM /Online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:MicrosoftWindowsPowerShellV2 /All - Restart your computer after enabling.

Alternative approach:
- If enabling PowerShell 2.0 is not possible (Windows 11 sometimes blocks it), consider installing SQL Server 2019 or 2022, which do not require PowerShell 2.0 and are supported on Windows 11.
