Wiser Hub Connection When Local Wi-Fi Faulty
I have a fault with my domestic Wi Fi as a result of a power surge. It will be 3 days before I receive a new router. Since it seems the home hub communicates with EVERYTHING via this router, I have no hot water for 3 days.
I have access to a mobile 'phone hotspot - is this a possibility? Without alternative connection / bypass options, surely this renders the whole system vulnerable?
Thanks for your post and sorry for your bad experience. Yes, you can connect your Wiser Home Hub to a mobile phone hotspot.
If your hot water is controlled by a Wiser Home program and you don't restart your hub and/or power cycle it after an internet disconnection, the schedule remains active as they are stored in the Hub but Hub can't store the time as it has it from the Cloud.
Depending on your Wiser Home Hub version and/or installation, you can force the hot water by pressing the front face button.
