P5 dont suscrive to a Goose

Hello, I'm generating a station file between two P5T relays to create GOOSE communication between them. I'm following the "My Learning Link" course and the available guides. However, when I try to subscribe to a GOOSE message between the relays, the arrow on the right is not enabled to allow subscription. I've checked, and they are on the same subnet; the GCBs are created and publishing the configured dataset, but it still won't let me subscribe. Any reason for this?

I'm attaching images of the configuration

I added the GOOSE Control Blocks from the "Add" menu because they didn't come by default. I created the ICD files online using the two relays I have in the lab.

Hello @Leonardo_Malacara,

Please note that as per the P5 User Manual (PIXIT section), the GOOSE subscriber function only supports the following Common Data Classes (CDC):

  • SPS, SPC, DPC, CMV, MV

However, the LED signals (DO LED1/2/3/4/5) in the dataset are configured with CDC=ENS (Enumerated Status), which is not supported for GOOSE subscription in P5.

This is an inherent design constraint of the P5 IED.

The proposed workaround will be:

 - Remap expected signal to Virtual Outputs (VOxx) in the Output Matrix

 - Configure DO VOxx (VOGGIO1.Indxx) in dataset for GOOSE publisher. These VOGGIO1.Indxx signals use CDC=SPS, which is supported for GOOSE subscription.

 - In the GOOSE subscriber configuration, subscribe to the new signals (e.g., VOGGIO1.Ind1.stVal).

BR,

Shaogang from P5 design team
