Hello everyone, I am experiencing an issue with the waveform timestamp displayed on the web server of an ION 7400 meter.
The date and time configuration on both the meter and the web server interface are correctly set. However, when accessing the "Waveforms" section via the web server and reviewing the recorded waveforms, the timestamp shown does not match the actual time when the waveform was recorded in the meter. This occurs even though the configured time zone appears to be correct.
In the attached image, we performed a comparison using ION Setup to verify the actual waveform recording time, and it does not match the timestamp displayed on the web server.

Time inside the ION7400 meters are all UTC times. Different interfaces will convert those times to local time. The contents of the COMTRADE .cfg file is stored in UTC time as mentioned by Mehran. ION Setup extracted the timestamp on the meter through a different method. This other method also uses UTC time, ION Setup converts the UTC time to local time when presenting to the user.
Waveforms have 2 timestamps, the time of the first point and the time of trigger. Usually time of trigger and time of first point are separated by number of pre cycles but not always. Web page waveform viewer will show the time of first point, ION Setup will show the time of trigger.

Here are two notes that need to be considered:
The COMTRADE file is generated using UTC time, NOT local time, therefore the timestamp shown on the webpage is based on UTC. Since you appear to be in GMT- 4, the webpage timestamp will display a time that is four hours ahead. Please check PM8000 COMTRADE File Timestamp forum.
The timestamp shown in ION Setup represents the disturbance End point, whereas the start time shown on the webpage represents (incident start) – (pre‑cycle duration) as defined in the Waveform Log settings.
Each waveform capture uses its configured pre‑cycle, trigger position, and post‑cycle settings, each of which contributes to the total duration.
