Is it possible to configure some logic in ION9000 to separately record kWh consumption based on the active power source?
For example, when the site transfers from the utility supply to the generator backup, can the meter use a digital input to detect when the generator is running and then accumulate energy (kWh) into a separate register only while that digital input is active?
In other words, I would like to have one energy register dedicated to generator operation and have it accumulate consumption only during the periods when the generator is supplying power. Has anyone implemented something similar using ION logic or digital inputs in an ION meter?

Hello @juanpablo.vargasvillalobos ,
Can ION9000 meter do this yes. Does the meter do this by default, not really. You can make a framework that enables integrator module only when the Digital input is true.
Getting the meter to only activate the new Integrator would be a lot more complex task.
Regards,
Charles

Hello @juanpablo.vargasvillalobos
In ION 9000 meters there is a concept called Conditional Energy, perhaps this can do what you are looking for.
