Hello,
When connecting the HDPM6000 and a PC in a 1-to-1 setup and accessing the web interface via Chrome,
after logging in everything works normally for a while.
However, occasionally, when trying to change settings on tabs like Alarm and clicking the Save button,
an error message appears and the settings cannot be applied. In such cases, if we try to log back into the browser with the admin password, an error message like “Admin already logged in” appears and we cannot log in. Restarting the meter’s control power restores the system and we can log in again. Are there any possible causes you can think of?
Also, even though the browser setting is configured to automatically log out after 3600 seconds, there are cases where it logs out earlier than that. Are there any possible causes for this as well?
Regards,
Okada

Hi @T.Okada
The behavior you are seeing may be related to the HDPM6000 login session management.
1. "Admin already logged in" message
For HDPM head units running system firmware v0.62 or later, the embedded web server uses HTTPS communication.
Only one Admin session can be active at a time. If an Admin user is already logged in from one browser and another login attempt is made from a different browser or PC, the message "Admin already logged in" can be displayed.
In this situation, it is not necessary to reboot the meter. Instead, enter the Admin password and click Logout. This will terminate the existing Admin session and allow a new login.
2. Unable to save configuration changes
The inability to save settings may be related to the same session management behavior.
For example:
This can create the impression that configuration changes cannot be applied, even though the root cause is the inactive session.
3. Network interruption while logged in
Another possible cause is a temporary network interruption.
If a user is logged in and the network connection between the PC and the HDPM6000 is lost and then re-established, the web page may still appear to be logged in. However, the original session may no longer be valid.
In this condition, attempts to save changes can result in an error even though the user interface still appears accessible. The recommended recovery method is:
A power cycle of the meter should not be required.
4. Logout occurring before the configured 3600-second timeout
The same scenarios described above could also explain why logout sometimes appears to occur before the configured 3600-second timeout.
For example:
In either case, the original user session may be terminated before the configured timeout period expires, which can appear as an unexpected or premature logout.
Therefore, please verify whether:
If either condition exists, it could explain the observed behavior. In these situations, the recommended action is to enter the password, use the Logout function to clear the existing session, and then log in again rather than rebooting the device.

Hello @Mehran_Mehrnia ,
Thank you for your response.
In all cases, the PC was connected one-to-one with the HDPM6000 head unit. Additionally, I verified that only one browser was open, with a single tab.
Given the one-to-one setup, I believe the network connection was stable.
In this case, I enabled the “phase V watchdog” while there was no voltage input.
Could that have caused the error?

Hi @T.Okada
In my testing, where the PC was connected to the HDPM6000 over the network rather than in a direct one-to-one configuration, and with the Auto Logout Time set to the default value of 3600 seconds, the Phase V Watchdog, when enabled, caused periodic measurement recovery cycles when no voltage was present. However, it did not log out the user or invalidate the web session.

-Mehran
