Hello,
I would appreciate your guidance on the following points regarding the HDPM6000:
1. Disabling voltage alarms
If we set both the High threshold and Low threshold to 0.0, will that effectively disable voltage alarm detection on the device?
2. Disabling current alarms for mains and branch circuits
What is the recommended method to disable current alarms for each main and branch circuit?
Would setting the rated breaker value to 0 A be an appropriate way to disable those alarms, or is there a preferred procedure?
3. Trip breaker alarm configuration
For the trip breaker current threshold, is it possible to configure different threshold values for the main and for individual circuits respectively? I can only find a single input field for the threshold.
Additionally, how can we completely disable the trip breaker alarm?
4. Availability of default parameter lists and configuration export
Is there documentation that lists the factory default settings for the HDPM6000?
With ION Setup, PQM meters allow exporting configuration to a text file. Is there a similar function on the HDPM6000 to extract a settings list from a new (factory-default) meter?
Best regards,
Okada

Hi @T.Okada
There is no dedicated enable/disable toggle button for alarms in the web interface, disabling requires adjusting user-defined thresholds and delays.
1. Disabling Voltage Alarms
Effect of 0.0 V threshold: Setting the Low Threshold to 0.0 V disables low-voltage alarms, but setting the High Threshold to 0.0 V causes continuous High Voltage Alarms as line voltage exceeds 0.0 V.
Recommended method: Set Low Threshold to 0.0 V and set High Threshold to an arbitrarily high value well above maximum system voltage.
2. Disabling Current Alarms (Mains & Branch Circuits)
Recommended method for active channels: Max out the warning and alarm threshold percentages (or assign an arbitrarily large breaker size) so normal operating current never reaches the alarm setpoint.
Recommended method for unused channels: For any unmonitored circuits, navigate to the Channel Cfg tab and set the CT Type to "Unused".
Effect of 0 A breaker size: Setting Breaker Size to 0 A is out of range and must be equal or more than one. Since the current alarms are percentage-based, lower values causing immediate over-current alarms on active loads.
3. Trip Breaker Alarm Configuration
Per-circuit thresholding: Not supported; Tripped Breaker Current and Delay are global settings applied across the system.
Disabling method: Set the global Tripped Breaker Current threshold to a value higher than maximum expected load current.
4. Default Parameter Lists & Configuration Export
Configuration Export Function: Unlike PQM meters using ION Setup to generate text files, the HDPM6000 uses the HDPM6000 Manager software. By connecting to a unit, you can click Download Configuration... to extract and save the entire device parameter set into a .cfg file. This .cfg file can be archived or uploaded to other units.
Factory Default Documentation: HDPMs are often shipped with a complex, customer-specific configuration defined in a configuration file. Using a default configuration would likely be incompatible with the customer's system and could prevent communication with the meter. The original customer-specific configuration can be restored by reloading the configuration file.
Factory default parameters such as default IP 10.10.10.4, default credentials, default RS-485 speed 115200, Zero Threshold 0.09%, and Energy Resolution 1 Wh, ,etc are detailed throughout the commissioning sections of the HDPM6000 Installation Guide.

Hi @T.Okada
You're welcome.
Breaker Size (A) is independent per Channel and configured individually for each PQM current channel and branch circuit by toggling the Channels / PQM views('Channels/PQM' button on the top right in the Alarm page). Modifying Breaker Size (A) does not affect display functions and only warning/alarm thresholds.
Tripped Breaker Current is a global Threshold which serves as a single global parameter across the meter and there are no separate numerical thresholds for mains versus branch circuits.
That is correct. It is Evaluated independently per phase/channel and is not against the sum of branch currents.
Just to clarify, the Tripped Breaker alarm is only triggered when two sequential conditions on a channel are met:
1. The measured current must first exceed the threshold to arm the alarm state.
2. The measured current must then drop to 0 A while line voltage remains present.

Hello @Mehran_Mehrnia,
Thank you for your detailed reply!
I have a question about disabling the current alarms.
You recommend setting a large breaker rated current to disable current alarms, but could that affect any other current-related display functions? Or is the rated current setting used only for alarm thresholds?
Regards,
Okada

Hello @Mehran_Mehrnia,
I have more questions about the tripped breaker current threshold.
Is the value only for branch circuits? or both of the main and branch circuits?
If that’s the case, I would prefer to have separate thresholds for the main and branch circuits.
The trip breaker threshold isn’t applied to the sum of the branch circuit currents, correct?
Similar to how the “Circuits” option works in the Summary Current settings.
If so, I think I should set a threshold large enough—exceeding the main breaker size—when configuring it to effectively disable this feature.

Okada
