Hello,
I have a question about importing configuration files (.cfg) to the HDPM6000 head unit.
The HDPM6000 user guide states: “Only upload configuration files to HDPM head units with the same firmware version.”
In this context, do I also need to consider the firmware version of the branch units, or only that of the head unit?
Regards,
Okada

Hi @T.Okada
The configuration file is uploaded directly to the head unit, but firmware compatibility should always be evaluated at the entire system level, not just the head unit alone.
As noted in the HDPM6000 Installation Guide, all system components including the Head Unit System, 3-Phase Meter, Branch Modules, I/O Modules, and EIM Modules should run on the same firmware bundle version to avoid unexpected behavior. Therefore, the safest approach is to ensure that both the source and target HDPM6000 systems use the same bundle version across all connected components, including the branch modules.
As discussed in previous HDPM6000 1-to-1 migrations forum, if a configuration is uploaded to a system running a different firmware version, the upload may still succeed, but all critical settings should be manually verified afterward.

Hi @Mehran_Mehrnia,
Thank you for your reply.
As you suggested, I will check the system-wide firmware version of the HDPM6000.
Best regards,
Okada
