PM8000 Firmware upgrade failed. Missing Template. Unable to resolve.

A firmware update failed.  Now the meter is missing its template.  I have tried repeated attempts to run the firmware update again.  I have tried the "Upload" option in ION Setup" to send the template only.  That also fails.

I have the latest version of ION Setup.  I have the latest firmware files for the PM8000.  Is there anything else I can try?  I've attached the update logs.

Hi @josephcoder 

Based on the meter’s S/N (ME-1902A538-02), this is a non-MID METSEPM8240 meter. The V4.6 non-MID firmware and corresponding Standard template file can be downloaded from SE website.

If the correct firmware is already installed but the meter is still missing its template, there are two ways to load the template:

Rapid Meter Programming (RMP) – faster method
Non-RMP method

Please try the Non-RMP method by holding down the <ALT> key before sending the template to the meter (or before upgrading again the meter) in ION Setup. This can sometimes resolve template upload issues.

The Non-RMP method worked!! (holding down the <ALT> key before sending the template to the meter in ION Setup).  Meter template is loaded and the meter is working as expected again.
