Re: Do we have a Direct Current Energy Meter in our offer?

Hello Bojan,

As far as I know we don't have DC power and/or energy meters in our offer.

Just to add to 's answer. The iEM31xx will work up to 63A.

If you need to go higher, use the iEM33xx which goes up to 125A.

Good luck!

Re: Do we have a Direct Current Energy Meter in our offer?

Thanks for the suggestion, but it must be my ambiguous question - in the Schneider Electric iEM31xx / 32xx series Energy Meters User manual DOCA0005EN-02 06/2013 there is no wiring for measuring DC Energy, only 3PH4W, 1PH2W L-N, 1PH2W L-L, 1PH3W L-L-N and 3PH3W.

http://www.schneider-electric.com/download/ww/en/details/126676969-iEM3100-series--iEM3200-series---...

My client asked me for a meter which could measure electrical energy on UPS DC side, so he can compare it with a measurements on AC side and calculate an efficiency of it.

Best Regards,

Bojan

Hi Bojan,

sorry, for me i thought you mean the Opposite of not Direct (With CT).

Have a nice weekend

Re: Do we have a Direct Current Energy Meter in our offer?

you might consider suggesting they use a 4-20mA CT (suitable for direct current) and route the signal to an analog input (assuming they are using something like a ION7X50 for the UPS Input).

They might check with the UPS vendor as well, it's possible you can read the DC output register via coms?

Good luck.

Re: Do we have a Direct Current Energy Meter in our offer?

We had to use DC Shunts to get a mV output.  One of our SIs developed a Modbus card which gives the DC Voltage and Current inputs.

What is an accuracy of energy measurements for the card?

Re: Do we have a Direct Current Energy Meter in our offer?

Hi Kevin,

I suppose it must be a some kind of Hall effect IC sensor, as transformer is suitable for AC current only.

Re: Do we have a Direct Current Energy Meter in our offer?

Hi Bojan,

You can look at a special product from Veris Industries, also wholly-owned subsidiary of Schneider Electric, to monitor solar PV installation at the DC output from individual solar panels,

http://www.sunspec.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Veris-EA10-article-for-SunSpec.pdf

http://www.veris.com/docs/comms/mb_pmap/EA10_pm_06121.pdf

The only drawback I think would be that it starts with 8 channels, but if you require multiple channel monitoring, it can freely scale in units of 8 up to 32 channels.

Cheers!
