We have a pump rated at 0.55 kW, 3-phase, 380 V, which we would like to operate using a single-phase 220V power source.
Is there a recommended solution to start and operate the pump under this configuration

If the pump has the possibility to connect via star (400v) and delta (230V) you could connect the pump in delta wiring to a one phase VSD like ATV12 or ATV320 or ATH230. This configuration will be work. Then you need to use the motor name plate values for delta connection.
