PI Integration

📖 Back

Geo SCADA provides an integrated PI interface which sends historic data into a PI server.

Using PI with additional database instances

Where you are setting up the PI interface together with a non-default database instance, the setup tool within Server Configuration will be unable to update and interact with the correct registry section for the database name you have added.

This tool allows you to perform the registration for that specific instance. It requires the Python language capability to be available.

It can all be done from the windows command line. Install python 3 and run

pip install pythonnet

then launching the python program from the .zip file below. It will show a UI to take the various options the PI Adaptor needs. Importantly as it's a python program it allows customization in case the end user has a more complicated setup than a single server
