Netbotz 450/500 FOR Telecom remote shelter monitoring

This question was originally posted on DCIM Support by Vineet K. Sarin on 2014-06-13

Hi, I don't have a usual Internet connection for the Netbotz to be accessed and so I need a device like Netbotz which can be hooked with 3g Modem or a data card through which it can get Internet connectivity and we can pull all these on a common web interface.

Does Netbotz have such a facility?

To my understanding the Netbotz devices will be able to send alarms, notifications etc. using a modem. I do not think there can be any build in card to give access to the common web interface. I guess that would have to be a "stand alone" setup where the Netbotz device then can be connected using its wired network interface.

Hi Vineet,

NetBotz 400 and 500 appliances have USB ports.  We support a few USB modems which are capable of sending SMS and email alerts.  Is there functionality beyond this the customer is looking for?
