Hi,
We have noticed the Warning Recommendation as stated "Rack support Equipment Watts per U Height" even if the Rack is empty.
Please find herewith the screenshot attached for your kind reference.
Request you to advice the reason behind this recommendation.
If required, we can share the DCO Backup also.
Thanks - K.Venkat.

Hi Venkat,
Apparently it has to do with asset U-Height calculations. I can reproduce similar notification for assets with U-height 2 or larger. I will capture this in our backlog for code review and possible enhancements, thanks.
Kind regards

Venkat,
As I understand this, you get this warning if the asset your using will leave stranded capacity if it were to fill the rack. So a 42U rack can hold 24 2U servers. At 300W each, you would only have 7200 watts or 7.2 kW. This will leave around 4kW left, which is why you get a warning. You could test this with by adjusting the nameplate value to be around 450W.
If my explanation is correct, in my opinion, its more of a nuisance warning. It would be red if it was something more critical.

Hi Jef.
Thanks for your prompt response. We need to provide the justification to customer, why this is giving an warning message even for an empty rack. The design limit set for the Rack is 11 kW. We have tried the asset with 300 W. Still we get this warning note. How the system is calculating watt per U-height.
Thanks - K.Venkat

this should read "So a 42U rack can hold 21 2U servers", but the rest of the explanation is the same.
