Problem running post-install step

Hello,

During the installation of the EcoStruxure IT Expert Gateway, I get an error saying that the services failed to start.

However, on the screen, it shows that the services are running, yet the installation still ends with an error.

The virtual machine was created with the following configuration:
OS: Windows Server 2025
RAM: 8 GB
CPU: 8 cores
Disk: 90 GB

Hi @marek.notino,

There was an issue restarting the services in Gateway version 2.1.0.  I apologize for the inconvenience.

Customers who installed Gateway 2.1.0 can:
Wait until version 2.1.1 is released to update the software.
OR
Replace their Gateway with version 2.0.1 or 1.2.4 and then update the software when version 2.1.1 is released.
How to replace your EcoStruxure IT Gateway with a new installation

See the Gateway 2.1.x release notes for more information.

Hello @JLehr

We have identified the issue. The installation requires the function wmic.exe, which is no longer available on Windows Server 2025.

Could you please implement the correction in version 2.1.1 for Windows Server 2025 so that this error does not occur during installation?

Thanks,

Marek.
