Powertag Power readings are not correctly shown in DCE

Hello community,

We are having trouble with reading power values via powertags in DCE . We added 4 acti 9 smartlink devices in DCE with 20 powertags connected wirelessly to each of them. 

When access directly to web server of acti 9 smartlinks we can read the power values as shown at the screenshot below ; 

But in DCE ; link status is online , data looks corrupted .

Devices are being added in modbus tcp device add section.For device type i can only choose " Acti9 Smartlink Modbus " to make it online.

I have downloaded and imported the two DDF files from DDF library portal which are related with Acti9 devices. Slave address of smartlinks looks impossible to change they are all 255 . İ couldnt at least. When i delete the other discovered smartlinks and tried out just one with same 255 slave address also couldnt have success in power readings. I think slave address section is not the subject in this situation.

We use powertag 1560 and 1570 models. Smartlink devices are upgraded to latest 2.2.7 firmware. Data Center Expert is not yet upgraded to R 7.6  .Its a phsiycal appliance running with delivery Release 7.4.1. 

I hope i could explain the problem. Any advice that you give me would be highly appreciated.

Hi Ozgur,

Because you are using Powertag sensors, I think you have an Acti9 Smartlink SI B or D.  In this case, you will want to use the "schneider_acti9_smartlinksid.xml" DDF which you can download from the DDF download page (it looks like you are using the DDF with the file named "schneider_acti9_smartlink.xml" - the names are so similar, this can be confusing).

In addition to using that DDF, you will want to enter the slave address of the Powertag sensor, not the Acti9 itself.  The Acti9 will assign the sensors the Modbus slave address automatically, so you will probably have to look in the Acti9 configuration to know which addresses go with which sensors.

From page 79 of the Smartlink SI D manual:  "Acti9 Smartlink SI D allocates dynamically, a slave number 150 through 169 for each of the 20 wireless communication devices (up to 20 wireless communication devices) that could be connected to the Acti9 Smartlink SI D."

Hi Jake,

Thank you very much for your help. Your information about adding powertags seperately with the same ip address of smartlink SI D,  but with unique slave address solved my issue. I tought that just adding smartlink will be enough for viewing powertags running behind it and i now see it was so wrong. Finally i will submit the project. It was urgent.
