I have a netbotz that has been added to DCE. It is giving this error despite no camera connected. I am unable to remove this alarm. I generated a self-signed SSL certificate on the NETBOTZ, but the error is still present. Any suggestions?
"Failed to authenticate with the device API, since the verification of the device's SSL/TSL certificate has failed As a result, the device may fail to show any connected cameras."
Thanks!

Hi @jake.l ,
I'm going to assume everything is up to date on firmware for this question.
If you've chosen to verify cert in both DCE and in the NetBotz, try unchecking them. If you have them checked, make sure you've installed the NetBotz cert on the DCE Server and the DCE cert on the NetBotz.
Step 3 here mentions adding the certs:
https://community.se.com/t5/DCE-device-discovery/NetBotz-750-appliance-discovery-process-in-DCE/ta-p...
This one may be helpful as well:
https://www.se.com/us/en/faqs/FA381605/
In DCE, go to Device->NetBotz appliance communications settings->NetBotz 750 Camera communications settings
Choose the device in question and edit communications settings. For SSL Verify Options, try "No Verifications. In this setting, you don't need to add the NetBotz cert to DCE. It may also alleviate any issues caused by issues with the cert.
Similarly on the NetBotz appliance, go to Settings->System->DCE Surveillance
You can turn off "Verify DCE Certificate in Trust Store"
Also, make sure your DCE is listed there. If not, you can try adding it. The URL should read something like:
https://10.10.10.1:443/botpost/surveillance2
That, of course, assuming the DCE server IP is 10.10.10.1.
If you have further issues, I'd suggest contacting tech support.
Thanks,
Steve
